Case Study: Abion & 3DforScience:

Bringing Abion’s Platform Science to Life for Global Partners

Abion, a Korean oncology company, was moving from a single-asset biotech to a platform company and needed a corporate website that could explain its science to global partners and investors. 3DforScience developed the scientific storytelling, animated mechanism narratives and bilingual copy behind the new abionbio.com, turning two drug platforms into an experience visitors can explore.

Abion

The Vision:
Two Mechanisms That Deserve More Than a Pipeline Table

Abion’s pipeline is led by two very different assets: iRAC, an antibody fused to a proprietary interferon-β mutein, and Vabametkib, an oral MET inhibitor. Both rely on mechanisms that are easy to misread, and the previous website gave partners no intuitive way to understand them.

The goal was a bilingual Korean and English site that lets business development partners and investors grasp each mechanism in minutes, while keeping every claim within Abion’s disclosed data and confidentiality agreements.

A Homepage That Tells the Mechanism Instead of Listing It

Rather than a pipeline page with diagrams, we made the science the center of the site. The homepage unfolds the iRAC mechanism as a scroll-driven animated story: each scroll reveals one idea, from the targeting module to immune memory. Vabametkib has its own animated loop, and every page carries copy written to one scientific standard.

The homepage unfolds the iRAC mechanism as a scroll-driven animated story: each scroll reveals one idea, from the targeting module to immune memory. Vabametkib has its own animated loop, and every page carries copy written to one scientific standard.

Two Platforms, One Narrative Standard

The iRAC story moves from the targeting module and the redirectable immune engine to the pH-tuned mutein, its three pillars of action, in-vivo efficacy, cold-to-hot conversion and the resistance barriers it overcomes. The Vabametkib loop condenses MET biology, resistance and selectivity into thirty seconds. Both are supported by a page-by-page copy deck covering the site.

KNOW-HOW: Accuracy Decided Frame by Frame

Every visual decision was tested against Abion’s dossier. iRAC is a genetic fusion, not a chemically conjugated ADC, so it was never animated as internalizing into the tumor cell, and the barrier is framed as functional neutralization rather than physical penetration. For Vabametkib, binding-site details under confidentiality were left out, and comparative figures stayed descriptive, never claims.

How It Works: The Visitor Sets the Pace

A partner or investor lands on abionbio.com, in Korean or English, and starts to scroll. The iRAC animation advances with the page: each stop pairs one short claim with its moment in the mechanism, so the visitor controls the pace. On mobile, the same story plays as an optimized video.

Our workflow:
Built on the Client’s Dossier

Abion’s team supplied the scientific content and reviewed each iteration. Working from their story files, we produced storyboards and action specs, extended the Vabametkib loop from fifteen to thirty seconds to absorb new content, ran frame-by-frame comparisons, and managed copy in a shared deck with owners, status and character counts.

The final outcome

Abion now has a website that explains its platform science instead of listing it. Partners and investors can understand what makes iRAC different from an ADC and where Vabametkib fits, in either language. The same narrative and animations are ready to reuse across Abion’s business development materials.
